Meet the Dentist
- Dr. Kim Hoang graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from OHSU's School of Dentistry in 1991 and began her career as a family dentist in SW Portland. She became the owner of Terwilliger Dental PC in 1994, has managed and been the resident dentist in this SW Portland Dentist office for over 25 years. Many of her original patients when she purchased the practice have become like family and they, their kids, and even their grandchildren see her regularly for their dental care.
Dr. Hoang enjoys getting to know each of her patients as individuals. She takes time to explain their dental needs and understand their concerns and works with each patient to create a personalized treatment plan they’re comfortable with.
Furthering her education in dentistry is a passion of Dr. Hoang’s and she’s dedicated to providing the best care possible to her patients using the most advanced dental procedures and technology available. She continues her studies in many dental fields and received literally thousands of hours of Dental Continuing Education credits in Advanced General Dentistry, Endodontics (Root Canal Procedures), Periodontics (Gum Disease and Treatment), Prosthodontics (Restorative Bridges and Crowns), Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Hoang ‘pays it forward’ by regularly donating her time and her clinical skills to a variety of local programs and charities, including Crestin School, The Multnomah Dental Society Emergency Services, The Portland School District in-school dental screenings, Give A Kid a Smile Program & the Portland Mission of Mercy. She’s an active member of the American Dental Association, American General Dentistry Association, Oregon Dental Association, and the Multnomah County Dental Society.
Dr. Hoang stays very active in her personal life. She has trained for and successfully completed both the Portland and Honolulu Marathons.
With husband David and their son Tyler, the family enjoys spending time together in the outdoors, whether in Portland, at the Oregon Coast, in Central Oregon or in the mountains. Their favorite activities include skiing, biking, hiking, boating, fishing, or just relaxing together playing cards by a fire or reading a good book.
Dr. Hoang enjoys active membership with the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Oregon Dental Association, and the Multnomah Dental Society.
